A 4-Week Bilingual Stitching Series on Wednesday evenings in April where you learn Tenango Style Embroidery
About this Event

Discover the vibrant beauty of Tenango-style embroidery in this hands-on class inspired by the Otomí communities of Hidalgo, Mexico. Led by instructor Beatriz Segura of B Magic Craft Hands, this bilingual (English & Spanish) 4-week series blends cultural storytelling with creative practice, inviting participants to slow down, stitch, and connect through traditional Mexican textile art.

Students will learn foundational embroidery stitches, explore joyful color combinations, and discover the meanings behind classic Tenango patterns and symbols. Over the course of the series, each participant will create a hand-embroidered napkin using a pre-printed Tenango-style design, with step-by-step instruction and personal guidance throughout. The class is relaxing, creative, and open to all skill levels; family-friendly (ages 11+; youth attend with an adult). Perfect for beginners, working adults, and creative families alike — come stitch something beautiful and meaningful together!

Details:

  • 4-week series — Wednesdays, April 8–29 from 6:00–8:00 pm
  • $170 for the full 4-class series
