About this Event
In celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, this year’s Telos conference will focus on the doctrine of the Trinity, exploring the revelation of our Triune God throughout the Scriptures.
In 325 A.D., the Emperor Constantine convened a council of bishops in the city of Nicaea to address a series of issues that arose as a result of the teachings of Arius, who maintained that Jesus was a created being. Rejecting the Arian teaching, the Nicene council affirmed the full divinity of Christ, that He is of one substance (homoousios) with God the Father, begotten, not made. From this council came one of the most important theological documents ever written, the Nicene Creed, which has been confessed by believers for centuries as an affirmation of Trinitarian orthodoxy. Join us to celebrate the 1700th anniversary of Nicaea and explore the Trinity revealed throughout Scripture.

The conference gathers scholars around key topics in the areas of biblical studies and theology. Telos Bible and Theology Conference is for the whole Church: pastors, leaders, and laypeople. The conference is named after a Greek word (telos) meaning “end,” “consummation,” or “aim,” with a view toward encouraging believers to live today in light of the ultimate victory that has been secured in Christ.
