Tellico Plains Kiwanis will host the Town of Tellico Plains Christmas Parade Saturday, December 21, 2023 at 3:00PM (rain date Sunday, December 22 at 3:00PM). Cookies 'n Claus will have 5 hospitality stations (Volunteer Federal Parking, at Visitors Center, Chs Hall Museum, Cherohala Skyway at Babcock Street, Town Square). Starting at 2:00PM each station will be serving FREE delicious cookies by Tellicafe along with coffee, hot chocolate or cider. Kids be sure to visit Santa at the front entrance of the Visitors Center for a great photo opportunity.Call for entry to win prizes: Floats 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100; entries for best decorated horse for the Charles Hall Award $100, $50, $25. An entry form (no entry fee) must be filled out to compete in judging for prizes. Judging starts at 2:00PM. Line-up starts at 1:00PM (all details are on the entry form). Entry forms are available at Tellico Plains City Hall and Tellico Plains Kiwanis Facebook page. Parade route starting at Veterans Memorial Drive (at the Gazebo) and proceed thru town, right on Babcock Street, left on Cherohala Skyway, right on Bank Street and ending at the Community Center.
