Local government, local resistance! Join us at the Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, meeting of the Westerville City Council to lobby members of council to pass a policy that will help to protect vulnerable members of our community from abuses by the Trump administration. In just over 40 days, Trump will be President, but we still have our power! We decide how our local tax dollars are spent and how city staff will spend their time, not Donald Trump.
We need Westerville City Council to pass legislation that deprioritizes enforcement, and cooperation in enforcing, laws that target trans people, people who are seeking or assisting abortion, and immigrants and their families. These are the people who will be targeted by the Trump administration.
Come out and show your support as citizens address council during the public comments portion of the meeting and stay to listen to responses from members of council. Watch for more details in the days ahead.
Parking in Uptown Westerville is always a challenge and there is security screening to enter the meeting, so allow yourself enough time to park and enter council chambers.
