Greetings from Tacoma Astronomical Society! We cordially invite one and all to attend our Free Amateur Astronomy Workshop! T.A.S. is dedicated to bringing astronomy to the public and promoting our hobby so that everyone can enjoy the splendors of the night sky.
Ever wonder how to get started? Want to know which telescope to purchase? How to do astrophotography? How to view the Sun safely?
These are just a few of the many questions we are asked on an almost daily basis. Our astronomy workshop will answer those questions and many others with the experience and knowledge of veteran amateur astronomers.
Can I do astronomy with binoculars? What kind of resources are available? Are telescopes available for use by members of the club?
Join us for an evening of discovery that takes you to the stars and beyond! Learn about our club resources, simple tools easily accessible for learning the night sky and gain insight into areas of specialty that propels you into the discovery of stars, galaxies, nebula's and more!
