Haven Spokane is a free, two-day game making event where your teen will learn to design and code their own video game, with workshops and mentors to guide them. No experience needed.
When: Saturday, Nov 14 & Sunday, Nov 15, 9am–7pm (not overnight)
Where: Spokane Valley Tech, 115 S University Rd
All meals are provided, and adult (18+) supervisors are on site the entire time.
During the event, your teen will gain real coding and problem solving skills, while they work with other teens on a shared project. At the end, every participant will have a complete game and receive a certificate to show off on college applications and resumes. The event is run by local students with Hack Club, a tech education nonprofit that supports 100,000+ teens.
