Teenage Dirtbags is a new volunteer group for young people aged 14-24. Between October 2025 and February 2026, we’re asking young people to get out into the woods, learn woodland crafts and sustainable woodland management techniques, and help us build a new woodland workshop. It’s free to attend, and a great way to learn more about the woodlands and hang out with your friends - as well as making new ones!Supported by Scottish Forestry, over the course of 5 months we’ll introduce the Teenage Dirtbags to traditional crafts and skills, including coppicing, tree planting, greenwood crafts and blacksmithing, and work together to build a timber-framed workshop in the woods. We’re hoping that the project will lead to some great benefits for the participants, including:
- Increasing wellbeing
- Increasing confidence – about being outdoors, working with others, and doing practical activites
- Learning about potential careers in the woods
- Having a great time!
All the information plus a full programme is available on our website - see the link in the ticket box. Sessions are free (with lunch included) but places are limited so please sign up online.
