About this Event
The Allegheny Observatory is a historic building in Pittsburgh with a long history of exctiting Astronomy.
This is part of the National Teen Science Cafe. It is planned by teens for teens.
- Free, fun and collaborative
- No prior knowledge needed
- Snacks including gluten and dairy free options
- Astronomy talk and hands on activities
- Tour of the building
- Observing if the weather is clear
- 5 - 7 pm
- Some teachers are offering bonus points.
The address is 159 Riverview Park. The historic building is partially handicapped accessible, including the lecture and activites. The tour will require stairs.
Park on the right hand side of the road that loops around the observatory.
If your mapping program has you get off 279 at exit 3 for Hazlett Street, do NOT turn left on Milroy. Continue and be rerouted.
