Teen Open Mic

Poetry workshop and Open Mic at Leamington Library

Join us at Bedworth Library for an exciting afternoon of poetry, creativity, and performance, designed for young people aged 13–17. The event begins with a 45-minute interactive workshop led by poet Kurly McGeachie, offering tips on writing and performance to help build confidence and stage presence.

Following the workshop, enjoy a lively open mic session where participants can share their own work in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you’re an experienced performer or trying it for the first time, this is a great opportunity to express yourself, connect with other young creatives, and celebrate the power of words.

These sessions are for:

• Young people aged 13–17 who enjoy writing, performing, or want to give poetry a try
• Teens looking for a supportive space to build confidence and share their voice
• Anyone interested in developing their skills and exploring opportunities like the Warwickshire Young Poet Laureate competition
