About this Event
Zero Reasons Why's Teen Mental Health Advocacy Workshop is a hands-on training designed to equip teens with the tools and confidence to become powerful storytellers and mental health advocates. Together, we’ll practice sharing our stories, learn key advocacy skills, and prepare for February’s Advocacy Day at the Kansas Capitol.
We’re grateful to host this year’s workshop at Summit Ranch, a 100-acre nonprofit in Shawnee dedicated to helping kids, teens , and adults build confidence, focus, and emotional regulation through nature, animals, and experiential learning. Attendees will not only gain advocacy experience but also tour the ranch, meet the animals, and see how nature can support mental health and connection.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, December 6, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Since part of the event will be outdoors, please plan to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
A special thank-you to Summit Ranch for welcoming us to their incredible space—we can’t wait to learn, connect, and grow together!
