Teen Improv Camp: Confidence, Creativity & Comedy

About this Event

Unexpected Productions’ Teen Improv Camp gives students ages 12–17 a fun, active week of laughter, creativity, confidence, and connection. Through improv games, movement, storytelling, character work, and spontaneous scene creation, teens learn to listen, collaborate, think on their feet, and take creative risks in a safe, supportive space.

Perfect for both beginners and experienced performers, this camp helps teens build real-life skills they can use beyond the stage, including communication, public speaking, empathy, adaptability, and self-confidence.

Students will:

• Build confidence and self-expression
• Improve communication and listening skills
• Strengthen teamwork and collaboration
• Practice public speaking in a supportive space
• Take creative risks without fear of failure
• Develop quick thinking and adaptability
• Create characters, stories, and scenes on the spot
• Move, play, laugh, and connect with other creative teens

The week concludes with a live showcase for family and friends at the Market Theater, where students share what they have been building in a fun, welcoming performance.

This is a space where teens can be brave, be playful, make new friends, and discover that their ideas matter.

Time: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM After Care: for an additional fee

Session Length: 1 week, Monday–Friday
Showcase: Student showcase on Friday
Prerequisites: No experience required. Just bring your curiosity, your imagination, and a willingness to play.
Maximum Students: 12-24

Cancellation Policy

We are unable to offer refunds after August 3rd. Unexpected Productions reserves the right to remove a camper from camp if they are not following camp rules or if their behavior creates an unsafe or disruptive environment. In that event, we reserve the right to issue a prorated refund.
