Teen Summer Cooking Camp Series (Ages 13–18)
Dates: June 30 - July 2
Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Class Menu:
Day 1: Fresh Fettuccine Alfredo and Tiramisu
Day 2: Personal Pizza and Gelato
Day 3: Potato Gnocchi and Italian Butter Cookies
Program Overview: Our Teen Summer Cooking Camps are designed to teach essential kitchen skills in a fun, hands-on environment. Each 3-day camp features a unique theme, ranging from global cuisines to baking and other specialized culinary skills. This gives students the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques while building confidence in the kitchen. Students will prepare dishes from scratch, learn proper food safety, and enjoy the meals they create.
Daily Schedule (All Camps): All Students should arrive by 9:45am. Camp classes will begin promptly at 10am. Due to the nature of our class schedule, we will not wait for late arrivals.
10:00 – 10:20 Welcome, safety, and introduction
10:20 – 11:00 Ingredient prep and instruction
11:00 – 11:40 Cooking and hands-on activity
11:40 – 12:10 Finishing dishes
12:10 – 12:40 Plating and tasting
12:40 – 1:00 Clean up and recap
Notes for Parents:
No prior cooking experience needed.
Students will work in a safe, supervised environment.
Please inform us of any food allergies in advance of purchasing a seat for your child.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures: To ensure the safety of all participants, we require the following procedures for daily drop-off and pick-up:
Registration & Authorized Adult Information: Parents or guardians are required to complete a registration form that includes participant information, emergency contacts, allergy information and acknowledgment of policies. As part of this form, you must designate the primary individual responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Only individuals listed on the registration form will be authorized for pick-up unless otherwise communicated directly to staff.
Drop-Off: Parents or guardians must accompany their child into the store and sign them in for camp each day. A valid photo ID is required at drop-off and must be presented at the time of sign-in.
Pick-Up: At the end of each session, a parent or guardian must come into the store to sign their child out. A valid photo ID is required and must match the individual who is authorized for pick-up.
If someone other than the individual who dropped off the child will be picking them up, this must be communicated to In The Kitchen staff in advance. The authorized pick-up person must present a valid photo ID at the time of pick-up. For the safety of our participants, children will only be released to individuals who have been pre-approved and can provide proper identification.
What Students Should Bring: Closed-toe shoes,Hair tied back, Comfortable clothing
What’s Included: All ingredients and supplies, Hands-on instruction, Printed recipes, Take-home food items.
Food Allergy / Dietary Restriction Policy: If your child has any dietary restrictions, please ask if they can be accommodated before registering for class. We cannot guarantee that chefs will be able to make last minute changes or cook separate portions.
**Food Allergy Notice: Please be advised that food prepared during your class may contain or come in contact with ingredients such as: milk, eggs, wheat, soybeans, gluten, sesame, fish, and shellfish.
10% Discount - Each student receives a 10% discount to use on the day/evening of your class. Does not apply to sale items.
Low Enrollment: Camps must have 8 students registered in order for the class to be held. We reserve the right to cancel any camp with low enrollment. Should this occur, the student will receive cooking credits for a future class or a refund to the original payment method.
Cancellations: Take into consideration that purchasing a camp is similar to purchasing a ticket for a sporting event or concert. No refunds will be issued if you buy a ticket and cannot attend the camp for some reason. If you cannot make the camp, consider regifting the camp to someone who would enjoy it! If regifting, please call (412) 261 5513.
If an instructor is unable to teach due to illness or any other reason, the class will be canceled and treated similarly to a low-enrollment cancellation. ITK will promptly notify all registered students and offer them the option to transfer their credit to a future class or receive a full refund.
Inherent Risk Policy: Participation in the In The Kitchen Cooking School places you in a typical cooking environment with inherent risk. By registering for a class, you agree to release In The Kitchen and its staff, employees, and contractors (Chefs/Instructors) from any liability arising from director or indirect damages or injury. All participants with dietary or health related issues must inform ITK prior to registering for a class to ensure instructor’s recipes can be modified. All participants hold ITK harmless in the event of a health issue related to the preparation or consumption of food used during the classes
Parking: Street parking is available in the Strip District. Please follow all parking meter rules and regulations to avoid any tickets. The park mobile app makes it easy to pay for parking. Parking is free after 6 pm and on Sundays. 
Attire Policy: We require that you wear close-toed shoes while in attendance of our cooking classes for safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back. Aprons will be provided by In The Kitchen.
Age Limits: Students must be between the ages of 13-18 to participate in a Teen Camp course.
Photo Release Policy: We enjoy taking photos during classes and use them in our advertising and social media outlets. Each student will be asked to sign a photo release policy.
