Equip young adventurers with the confidence and skills they need to stay safe and capable in the outdoors! In this hands-on, fast-paced workshop, teens learn essential wilderness survival techniques and age-appropriate first aid skills that empower them to think clearly, stay calm, and take care of themselves and others on the trail.
Participants will practice key survival priorities—shelter building basics, water safety considerations, and how to stay warm and dry in changing conditions. They’ll also gain hands-on practical first aid treatment such as wound care, bleeding control, and stabilizing injuries. They will learn the signs to recognize hypothermia and heat illness, and when and how to call for help.
With interactive scenarios, simple gear demonstrations, and teamwork-focused activities, teens walk away with real-world skills they can use during hiking, camping, or outdoor adventures.
This workshop encourages leadership, problem-solving, and good decision-making while showing that preparedness can be fun.
