Inspire your Year 9-10 boys at Linklaters this International Men's Day. Supports Gatsby Benchmarks 3, 4 & 5.
About this Event

A high-energy, interactive day for Year 9-10 male students (ages 13-15), hosted by a leading motivational speaker and welcomed into the corporate setting of Linklaters in central London.

Now in its 14th year, the Rocking Ur Teens Boys' Conference brings together inspiring speakers, hands-on workshops and direct encounters with professionals across business, sport, finance, the creative industries and more, giving boys a glimpse of futures they may never have considered.

Supporting Your Careers Programme: Gatsby Benchmarks 3, 4 & 5

This conference is structured to help your school evidence delivery against three of the eight Gatsby Benchmarks - the statutory framework for careers guidance in secondary schools.

Benchmark 3 - Addressing the needs of each pupil Specifically designed to challenge stereotypes about who succeeds and in which industries, raise aspirations among boys from underrepresented backgrounds, and tackle the well-documented gap in post-16 outcomes for boys. Diverse role models share authentic stories that help students see themselves in roles they may have been told weren't for them.

Benchmark 4 - Linking curriculum learning to careers Workshops bring the PSHE, Citizenship and wider curriculum to life by connecting classroom learning to real-world career pathways - from communication and English to data, business, creative arts and STEM-led professions.

Benchmark 5 - Encounters with employers and employees A full day of meaningful, structured interactions with multiple employers and professionals across sectors, including hosts Linklaters - one of the world's leading law firms.

What your students will gain

  • A full day inside a top-tier corporate workplace in central London
  • Direct access to professionals across law, finance, sport, creative industries and more
  • Workshops that challenge them to think differently about their futures and their communities
  • Exposure to careers and pathways outside the traditional script
  • The chance to celebrate International Men's Day alongside peers from schools across the country
  • A renewed sense of what's possible - and the agency to go after it
