Since 2018 Ive been organizing an event called Giving Back To The Streets. Tee Pee Treats Giving Back to the Streets is a grassroots community event that gives out free food, has entertainment, live music and drummers and feeds more then 300-600 people during the event. It is important for us to have this monthly event to help feed the houseless and give back to our indigenous brothers and sisters living and surviving on the streets of Edmonton. This will be our 21st one in Edmonton, Alberta.
At a young age I learned about giving back and helping others. I learned that you don’t have to be rich to give back or help others either. You just need to be there and just do it with no questions asked. I was loved, taken care of and helped by my family who made me who I am today. I brought all the good things I learned when I was a kid into my adult life now. I owe my life to those who taught me to be who I am today. So many mistakes I made and hard lessons I’ve learned but I created something to show others that it can be done.
WE are seeking donations such as wild meat, veggies for soups, drinks, winter clothing and more. Please contact me by inbox if you can donate any of the above items. We are also needing volunteers to come out and help either cook, serve or clean-up. Best way to contact me is through INBOX or Messenger. Also if you would like to come out and perform please let me know as there is room for a few more indigenous artists. Honorarium provided.
