Do you have an idea but are not exactly sure how to execute it? This workshop is for you! You will use techniques such as mapping, and creating prototypes, to further develop your concepts and explore materials to best represent your ideas. Using the Design Thinking process, you will work with the instructor and group to evolve your idea and create confidence for moving forward with your creative endeavors. Students will need to bring their own newsprint, markers, and a variety of materials that they typically use in their work.

Instructor's Bio

Stacey Cann is a multidisciplinary artist working in Edmonton, Alberta. She has shown at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery, The Ministry of Casual Living, Latitude 53 Contemporary Visual Culture, Harcourt House Artist Run Centre and the International Print Centre New York among others. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Print Media from Alberta College of Art and Design as well as a Masters of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Art Education from Concordia University.
