Knit a cuddly teddy, share tea, and connect with others in a cosy afternoon of creativity and community.Join us for a warm and welcoming afternoon of knitting, tea, and community spirit at The Haven in Stonehaven. Whether you are a seasoned knitter or just picking up the needles for the first time, this event is for you. We will be creating handmade teddy bears that can either be gifted to local children and families who need a little extra comfort or taken home as a special keepsake.
The Teddy Bear Project at The Haven began as a small idea to bring people together through creativity while giving back to the community. Over time, it has grown into a much-loved tradition. Each teddy is lovingly made by volunteers and has found its way to someone who needs a reminder that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.
On the day, you can expect:
- Step-by-step guidance for all skill levels, with patterns and yarn provided
- A cosy, social atmosphere with plenty of tea, coffee, and homemade treats
- Stories and laughter as we share the history of the Teddy Bear Project
- The joy of knowing your creation will bring happiness, whether you choose to gift it or take it home
