About this Event
How do animals navigate our built-up world? The short answer: it's hard! But a new book for young readers has some good news: wildlife bridges are going up, dams are coming down, and green corridors are helping creatures roam more freely. Join these animals, and their human advocates, on their journeys!
Author of Wildlife Crossings of Hope: Connecting Creatures Around the Globe (Holiday House, ages 10+), a STEM book with a storytelling approach, Teddi Lynn Chichester grew up in California's fertile Central Valley, land of farms, tule fog, and country western music. She spent childhood summers hanging out with banana slugs and the world's tallest trees in Northern California's coast redwood forests, where her father worked as a State Parks Interpreter. Specializing in British Romanticism and nature-themed writing of all genres and periods, Teddi teaches writing and literature at the University of California, Los Angeles.
