IN COLLAB WITH @RADISH RADIO – OPEN CALL
After the outstanding success of the previous editions, on April 28 we return with a new Techno Symposium / Open Decks at Turbina Kulturális Központ.
We’ve strengthened our collaboration with Radish Radio and Turbina, continuing to expand the platform and offer new voices in the scene real opportunities and space to express themselves.
The past editions have already created concrete outcomes: several artists have been featured on Radish Radio, while others have been invited to play at our party series ROOTZ.
This is the direction we want to keep building — creating continuity between moments and real possibilities for growth.
We keep celebrating the diversity of our community and aim to make it even stronger.
Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
This event is an opportunity for emergent DJs from all backgrounds who share our commitment to respect and inclusivity to be heard.
Four participants – alongside one BAS resident – will be selected from all applicants to play a one-hour set in the Klubszoba room, using professional equipment and performing in front of everyone attending the event.
CDJs, vinyl, and hybrid setups are all welcome to apply.
This call is open to those who:
• are able to perform a one-hour set using professional equipment (CDJs and mixer);
• are already experienced with digital players but want to challenge themselves publicly with turntables.
This is not a contest.
It’s a real, concrete, professional space — to step forward, to grow, to be heard, and to share your music.
The BAS crew will be present throughout the performances to offer technical and organizational support if needed.
How to apply:

• Include a link to a DJ set that best represents the kind of music you’d like to play (your podcast must be submitted via the form).
We’ll select 4 artists (solo or B2B) based on the applications received and the overall coherence of the lineup.
The results will be announced by April 16.
In addition, some of the applicants will be selected to be streamed on Radish Radio and later released on its SoundCloud channel.
All aspiring DJs are welcome to attend and apply.
Applicants from previous Open Decks are also welcome to apply again.
Priority, though not exclusively, will be given to those who have already participated in one or more Techno Symposium events.
We believe in the power of sharing.
We want to offer space to those who have talent but fewer opportunities — contributing to a more open and inclusive scene.
