Budapestre érkezik az ukrán 1914.

Az ukrán blackened death/doom zenekar, az 1914 bejelentette The War That Never Ends elnevezésű turnéját, amely 2026. április 28-án a budapesti Analog Music Hallba érkezik. A turné középpontjában a formáció legújabb, Viribus Unitis című stúdióalbuma áll, amely 2025. november 14-én jelent meg. A turné vendégzenekara a dán KATLA lesz.
A Viribus Unitis a zenekar negyedik konceptlemeze, amely az első világháború eseményeit ezúttal a bajtársiasság, az emberi kitartás és a túlélés szemszögéből dolgozza fel. A zenekar jellegzetes blackened death és doom metal elegye még drámaibb, érzelmileg feszültebb irányt vett, miközben továbbra is megőrzi az 1914-re jellemző sötét történetmesélést és atmoszférát. Folytatva az első világháború krónikáját, az ukrán banda ezúttal kissé eltolja fókuszát: a halál és pusztítás nyers ábrázolásától a bajtársiasság, kitartás és az embert próbáló érzelmek felé, amelyeket azok éltek meg, akik túlélték a borzalmakat. Míg korábbi kiadványaik, mint The Blind Leading the Blind (2018) vagy Where Fear and Weapons Meet (2021), a háború hiábavalóságát és véglegességét állították középpontba, a Viribus Unitis az emberi kötelékeket és azok erejét vizsgálja, akik visszatértek: megtörve, megváltozva, mégis élve. A Viribus Unitis valós eseményeken és egy K.u.K. seregben szolgáló ukrán katona személyes beszámolóin keresztül mesél, idővonalat rajzolva 1914-től 1919-ig, sötét utazást festve a háború felemelkedésén, csúcspontján és üres, kísérteties utóhatásán át.
Az est különleges vendége a dán doom formáció, a KATLA lesz, akik legújabb, Scandinavian Pain című albumukkal komor atmoszférájukkal és érzelmileg súlyos történetmesélésükkel lépnek a magyar közönség elé. A sludge, post-rock és progresszív doom elemeit ötvöző zenekar nyers, melankolikus és feszültséggel teli megszólalása méltó kísérője lesz az 1914 monumentális koncertjének.

Ukrainian band 1914 to arrive in Budapest.
Ukrainian blackened death/doom band 1914 has announced their The War That Never Ends tour, which will arrive at Budapest’s Analog Music Hall on April 28, 2026. The tour centers around the group’s latest studio album, Viribus Unitis, released on November 14, 2025. The tour’s special guest will be the Danish band KATLA.
Viribus Unitis is the band’s fourth concept album, which this time explores the events of World War I from the perspective of camaraderie, human perseverance, and survival. Their distinctive blend of blackened death and doom metal has taken an even more dramatic and emotionally tense direction, while still preserving the dark storytelling and atmosphere characteristic of 1914. Continuing their chronicle of World War I, the Ukrainian band now slightly shifts their focus: from the raw depiction of death and destruction toward the camaraderie, endurance, and emotionally grueling experiences lived through by those who survived the horrors. While their previous releases, such as The Blind Leading the Blind (2018) or Where Fear and Weapons Meet (2021), focused on the futility and finality of war, Viribus Unitis examines the human bonds and the strength of those who returned — broken, changed, yet still alive.
Viribus Unitis tells its story through real events and the personal testimony of a Ukrainian soldier who served in the Austro-Hungarian army, drawing a timeline from 1914 to 1919 and portraying a dark journey through the war’s rise, climax, and its empty, haunting aftermath.
The evening’s special guest will be the Danish doom act KATLA, who will present their latest album, Scandinavian Pain, bringing their bleak atmosphere and emotionally heavy storytelling to the Hungarian audience. Blending elements of sludge, post-rock and progressive doom, their raw, melancholic and tension-filled sound will be a fitting companion to 1914’s monumental performance.
