About this Event
Technical Theater Summer Camp
In each of these dynamic, hands-on tech camps, your child will learn about all of the behind the scenes technical elements of bringing a stage production to life!
Working with our theater’s technical staff, campers will learn the art of stage crafting including:
- Theater terminology
- Theater safety (including safe operation of basic power tools)
- Stage directions
- Set design, carpentry, set building, and scenic set painting
- Prop design
- Costuming
- Show budgets
- Handling stage microphones
- Basic light and sound board operation
At the end of each enrollment session, your camper will be part of the technical team that runs the show production

Ages: 12-18
Dates: 7/13 to 7/31
Time: 9am to 3pm
Location: The Everett Theatre
Final Performances: Friday, July 3`1 at 7:30pm & Saturday, August 1 at 2pm (Matinee)
Cost: $550
(The Everett is a nonprofit organization. The processing fees help cover credit card charges and the cost of utilizing the registration system.)
