Our Advocacy Focus for 2025:
- Closing the Digital Divide – Ensuring every Wisconsinite has access to the tools and resources they need to thrive in today’s economy.
- Affordable Broadband Access – Expanding equitable and affordable internet access to underserved and marginalized communities.
- Addressing Algorithmic Bias in AI & Digital Redlining – Educating policymakers and the public on the risks, harms, and solutions to discriminatory technology practices.
Highlights of the Day:
- Welcome Remarks from state legislators
- Keynote Conversations with Policy Director Bianca Shaw and Milky Way Tech Hub Founder & CEO Nadiyah Johnson
- Legislative Office Visits – Meet with state lawmakers to share your story and advocate for tech equity policies.
- Lunch & Learn – Open to legislators, staff, and participants, focusing on Algorithmic Bias in AI & Digital Redlining
