Come join Payton and me as we run the 13th Annual Festivus 5K with Team Sweetness. This is a fun event where we get to dress up in our festive gear and run a friendly race for a great cause that is near and dear to my heart. Plus we get to have festive drinks afterwards to celebrate.Team Sweetness was named in honor of my crazy boy Payton who opened my eyes to a whole new beautiful world. I run this race each year to help raise money for all of Payton's buddies who need the support these schools and programs offer. This year Payton is running as well and asking his friends who else is up for the challenge and wants to join him!?!
Location: Race start and finish are on Derby Street
Entry Fee: $30 in advance and $35 on race day.
Money raised goes to The Northshore Education Consortium.
Over the past 12 yrs they raised over $240,000. NEC is one of the largest providers of special education programs for children with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities on the North Shore. (www.nsedu.org) "Every student. Every day. Whatever it takes."
