Jared and Sarah Purdy’s story is one of resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment to one another. It reflects the strength found in family and the impact of a supportive community.
For the past 6 years, Jared has faced lymphoma with remarkable determination through in patient chemotherapy treatments every 3-4 weeks and frequent travel for care. Despite the challenging demands of treatment, Jared remains devoted to those around him through coaching, mentoring, and giving back.
More recently, Sarah received the devastating diagnosis of glioblastoma and has begun treatment at Mayo. In the face of unimaginable circumstances, she has met this challenge with bravery and grace, fighting with everything she has while continuing to pour her love and strength into her family.
Together, Jared and Sarah are navigating a journey no family ever expects to face, filled with uncertainty, long treatment days, and difficult moments. They regularly travel to Mayo while also receiving care through Sanford in Fargo. Through it all, they face each day with courage while drawing strength from family and community.
At the center of it all are their 4 incredible children, who bring hope to each day. Jada (18) will attend UND this fall to pursue physical therapy, reflecting her compassion and desire to help others. Bo (16) is finding his own path through athletics and hunting, carrying the same determination and heart as his parents. Jax (12) brings enthusiasm to everything he does, especially sports, while Ty (5), full of excitement and a love for the game, brings joy to everyone around him.
The Purdys are deeply rooted in their community through athletics, school activities, and local involvement. Their strength is evident not only in their fight against illness, but in the way they support one another and embrace those around them.
