we are running an exciting new event this December! come and join us for Team Endurance Expedition!a unique team based event that will have scoring for top 3, one day run and one additional run at dark.
Team Endurance Expedition is a Co-Op RC Crawling Adventure that focuses on scale realism and team work to create a unique RC Driving experience.
At the adventure destination, judges will determine a base time for completion of the trail. This time will be used for scoring purposes. Participants will select a partner and, prior to beginning the expedition, will be informed of various time bonuses and deductions based on the RC Vehicle they bring. Participants must complete the adventure without physically contacting their RC Vehicle except to attach or detach recovery gear. The team that completes the adventure in the shortest amount of time will be declared the winner of the expedition challenge.
Along the expedition, various optional time bonus obstacles will pop up along with various mandatory dice roll routes that will change the outcome of your adventure. Due to the battery restriction managing your weight, driving habits and choices adds additional challenges to the expedition.
Rules:
Recovery gear allowed (winch, traction boards, etc.)
Recovery gear must be attached to the vehicle
Kinetic winches attached to vehicle allowed
No touching vehicle if it flips or rolls out of bounds, only recoverable with RC Equipment
Honor system scoring, keep track of your score as you travel the adventure.
Battery size restrictions(see below for battery ranges)
1. Base Time:
1.5 hours (90 minutes): This is the expected completion time for a skilled driver with good battery management. Everyone's raw time to complete the course will be measured against this.
2. Time Bonuses (Deductions from Raw Time):
Tire Size:
Class 0: -15 minutes
Class 1: 0 minutes (no change)
Class 2+: +10 minutes
Body Material:
ABS/Hard Body: -10 minutes
Lexan Body: 0 minutes (no change)
Scale Driver:
With Driver: -15 minutes
Without Driver: 0 minutes (no change)
Scale Detail: (Judged on a scale of 1 to 3, with 3 being the highest)
Tier 1: -5 minutes
Tier 2: -10 minutes
Tier 3: -15 minutes
Single Vehicle completion(Unrecoverable partner)
+ 30 minutes
3. Battery Scoring:
Battery Type:
NiMH: -10 minutes (increased bonus for "regular fuel")
LiPo: +10 minutes (slightly higher penalty for "premium fuel")
Battery Capacity: (more tiers for finer resolution)
1400 mAh - 1800 mAh: -10 minutes
1800 mAh - 2000 mAh: 0 minutes
2000 mAh - 2400 mAh: +10 minutes
**additional photo contest will be running along side the expedition
