Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Community Workers Training
About this Event
What Is TESOL-CWT?
The TESOL Community Workers Training (TESOL-CWT) is a 10 hour condensed curriculum developed by Multicultural Ministries and Teach2Go to help local community-focused churches launch or strengthen effective ESL ministry.
Adapted from Teach2Go’s full 60-hour certification course, this training preserves the essential elements of comprehensive TESOL preparation while offering a format that better fits the time, staffing, and budget realities of local churches. Participants receive practical instruction and hands-on learning they can apply immediately in community and ministry settings.
Why This Training Matters
Many churches recognize the need to serve English language learners in their communities but do not have the resources to implement a full-length certification program.
TESOL-CWT meets that need by offering a high-value, ministry-ready training experience that distills the major components of Teach2Go’s 60-hour TESOL certification into a manageable and accessible format.
This training helps participants build confidence in:
- understanding English language learners
- responding to cultural and classroom needs
- using effective teaching strategies
- planning meaningful lessons
- launching sustainable ESL ministry efforts
What Participants Will Learn

Each topic is taught in a way that is practical, interactive, and immediately useful for local church and community outreach.
