Apprentice Training: Beginner Guitar for Adults

This is a beginner-friendly guitar class for adults who want to start playing real songs in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

No experience required. If you’ve never picked up a guitar—or tried before and bounced—this is for you.

Each session focuses on:

• Basic open chords
• Simple strumming
• Learning one beginner-friendly song together
• Playing as a group in a low-pressure jam at the end

I’ll be teaching the class myself, and the emphasis is on progress, not perfection. You’re never “behind,” and you can join at any point.

This class is the first step in the Wandering Bard journey—what we call Apprentice Training. Some people come casually. Others use this as a gateway into deeper group classes, ensembles, or private lessons. There’s no pressure either way.

• An acoustic guitar (or electric with a small amp)
• A willingness to try
