About this Event
izzit.org, in partnership with Foundation for Teaching Economics and Grove City College, invites you to a one-day professional development session. Earn credits while exploring a pressing topic: the growing interest in socialism among today’s youth. We’ll break down what socialism means, how it’s different from capitalism, and what that means in the real world.
You’ll gain practical insights and resources to help your students better understand the core ideas behind socialism. With a deeper understanding of the subject, you'll be equipped to tackle questions about economic systems, spark thoughtful discussions, and clarify misconceptions—helping students form their own informed perspectives.
Cost: None—FREE PD. Breakfast and lunch, parking, lesson plans, networking opportunities, 6 CEU credits, and a $150 stipend are included with your registration!
BONUS! During lunch, enjoy an insightful talk by Grove City College Professor Caleb Fuller, co-author with Art Carden of Mere Economics: Lessons for and from the Ordinary Business of Life. This engaging session will dive into the intersection of economics and everyday life, adding an extra layer of depth to your professional development experience.
