Teacher Professional Development Workshop: California's Landscapes

This session will include a tour of works from our permanent collection of California landscapes and explore the intricate relationship between the landscape, people, and our environment. Participants will engage in critical reading of paintings, guiding young students to consider positionality and the constructed nature of history. Through examining indigenous history and diverse environments, educators will learn strategies to encourage students to ask deeper questions about what they see—and what remains unseen.  

Wine and light refreshments will be provided.

This session will take place at LBMA on Ocean Blvd.
