Tea Tasting

We’re happy to share that our Tea Tasting Program has become a well-established part of our offerings at the Japanese Friendship Garden.
Japanese tea has been a part of daily life and tradition for centuries. This program offers a relaxed and enjoyable way to experience tea outside the formality of the traditional tea ceremony, focusing instead on connection, mindfulness, and the simple pleasure of a good cup of tea.
Your experience includes:
A casual tea lecture and tasting of popular Japanese teas such as Sencha, Hojicha, and Genmaicha (with more varieties to come).
A full cup of your selected tea served with traditional Japanese snacks including special sweet (Wasanbon).
A guided stroll through our serene tea garden (Roji) and a view of the traditional tearoom from the outside.
The program takes place in the welcoming foyer of our tea house, Musoan, and is perfect for anyone curious about Japanese culture, whether you're new to tea or a seasoned enthusiast.
