Learn the basics of tea in this hands‑on Tea 101 class with Planted Tea Shop owner Naquela. Explore the difference between true tea and herbal blends, taste several varieties, and learn simple brewing techniques you can use at home. This beginner friendly workshop includes a guided tasting, printed Tea 101 reference card, and a take home tea sample.
This class is Part 1 of our three-part tea education series.
What you will learn:
• What tea is and how it differs from herbal blends
• Black, green, oolong, and herbal tea basics
• How to taste tea using aroma, body, and finish
• Brewing techniques including temperature and steep time
• Light wellness insights related to energy, calm, and digestion
Class will Include:
• Tasting of 3–4 teas
• Guided tea vocabulary lesson
• Tea 101 card
• One tea bag or mini sample to take home.
Parking: you can use the parking right in front of the building (it is paid parking) or the parking lot across from the store is available - free parking.
