Tea and Tending: A Plant Communion Circle
About this Event
Tea and Tending: A Plant Communion Circle
Something in you already knows the plants.
Tea & Tending is an intimate circle rooted in the belief that our relationships with plants were never meant to be transactional. In a culture that asks first what something can do for us, this is a practice of turning toward our plant kin with curiosity and reverence before utility. Of learning who they are, where they come from, and what wisdom they carry, not for us to extract, but for us to receive and to reciprocate.
You will meet this plant ally through a shared preparation, received by the body in the way that suits them best, sit in guided meditation with the plant, and discover what your body already knew before your mind caught up. The plant's identity is not revealed until the end. What arrives in the silence before the reveal is yours.
This is not a class. There is nothing to know beforehand and nothing to get right. It is an invitation to remember that humans are not separate from or above the living world. We are part of it. We always have been. These circles are a small act of coming back.
Each circle is small by design, held with care, and open to anyone regardless of prior experience with plants or meditation.
What to expect:
We will drink tea together or partake in a topical preparation. We will sit in guided meditation with an unnamed plant ally. We will journal and share in a witnessing circle. Then we will meet the plant by name and learn something of who they are in the larger web: their ecology, their intelligence, the medicine they carry not only for us but for all living beings and the earth. We leave not with a list of uses but with the beginning of a real relationship.
