Important information
Parking
The Mind Cafe is easily accessible via public bus; hop off at the stop next to Berry Reserve/The Tramshed (on Pittwater Road). The closest place to park for free is out the front of the Woolworths on Wellington street, Narrabeen.
Covid
We seek to minimise possible transmission, whilst still facilitating an important, healthy outlet for connection. Please look after each other and do not attend if you are experiencing any covid symptoms or are considered a close contact to a covid case.
If you are uncomfortable meeting with others face to face, we encourage you to try some of the Belong Club's online events, such as Monday's Mindful Movement session or Thursday's Gentle Exercise Class.
About The Host
Val is a driven, community-minded individual with a love for reading, gardening, walking and board games. Val loves all kinds of books - from historical fiction, to fantasy, to modern realist books.
A major part of Val's life at the moment is Curly Community Garden, a garden she's been heavily involved with since its inception in 2016. Her favourite part of the garden is the way it brings together so many people from the community and gives joy to many peoples' lives - from garden members to passers by.
Val loves walking, and you can often see her on her favourite walking routes between Dee Why and Freshwater. She also likes to explore other parts of the great outdoors on family outings with her two adult children and husband.
At home, Val and her family love to play board and card games, and have a huge collection that takes up a few shelves of their storage closet!
