Come and celebrate Seaweek with Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) and Department of Conservation and experience a guided snorkel on the reef with our EMR coordinators.FREE hire of equipment, FREE sausage sizzle, sand castle competitions and spot prizes available!
Ages 5+ welcome, ALL children under 16yrs have to be accompanied by an adult in and out of the water. Allocated times for snorkel sessions throughout the day.

OUTLINE FOR THE DAY:
9am - opening karakia, health and safety briefing and introductions
10.30am - 11.30am 1st snorkelling session (9am arrival)
11.30am - 12.30pm 2nd snorkelling session (10.30am arrival)
12.30pm - 1.30pm 3rd snorkelling session (11.30am arrival)
2.30pm - Evaluations and closing
Come and enjoy this beautiful moana, either come for your set snorkel session or enjoy a full day at the reserve with your whanau and friends!
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
We follow very strict health and safety policies and procedures so we will need everyone to arrive at their allocated snorkel session times so we can complete all the forms required and get you organised into your gear and group for your dive. Some forms will be sent prior to the event to ensure we assign you with the most appropriate group and instructor.
Please note: If you arrive before your snorkel session, we will not be able to provide you with gear until it is your allocated time, however, you can explore the area and participate in our other activities :)
Please be aware of insects/mosquitos/midges on site - we will have insect repellent on hand but please BYO if you have sensitive skin or react to some repellents.
