About this Event
Visit the Te Kohuroa Awa in Matheson Bay Reserve and discover what creatures call this stream home with the Mountains to Sea team and Te Kohuroa Rewilding.
We will be leading a guided walk and spotlighting event to showcase the biodiversity of this awa. See native fish and eels, macroinvertebrates, and more! While walking through the reserve we also have opportunity to explore the beautiful original ngahere (forest) which has many resident wētā and impressive native spiders for us to spot.

This event is run in collaboration with Te Kohuroa Rewilding and as part of the Wai Connection | Tatai Ki Te Wai project through Whitebait Connection (WBC) which is a programme of the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust.
