This year’s TD Summer Reading Club theme is “Dive In”, celebrating everything underwater! Our libraries will be transformed into Clearview’s own Underwater World, and families will be invited to help decorate by creating and hanging jellyfish and other underwater creatures at our craft stations throughout the evening.We’re also encouraging families to walk, bike, or scooter to the event as part of our “Pedal & Paddle to the Party” initiative to help protect our waterways. If we reach our participation goal, it will unlock a special surprise prize - 150 Chapman’s Lolly Popsicles generously donated for the event!
We will also be joined by the Clearview Fire Department, our water superheroes, who will be providing a water safety presentation for families during the event.
The evening will also include:
• Hamburgers and hot dogs donated by Stayner Foodland
• Stayner Kinsmen running the BBQs
• Prize packages and surprises for families
Party Dates:
• Stayner Branch – Tuesday, June 16 - 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Creemore Branch – Wednesday, June 17 - 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• New Lowell Branch – Tuesday, June 23 - 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
We are also very excited to share that the World Oceans Day Canada Giant Interactive Floor Map will be visiting our library system from Thursday, July 2–9 before continuing to the next library. This live interactive experience allows participants to explore the oceans and waterways directly from their smartphones.
