Our next talk is on Thursday, 9th January 2025 at 7:30pm entitled 'The Honorable Miss Monson 1754 - 1843' - an early 19th Century Cheltenham Lady Builder'. During the course of her career, Miss Monson bequeathed to Cheltenham one of its finest ‘Regency’ terraces, namely St Margaret’s Terrace, and one of the most unusual stories in the town’s building history. This talk will be given by Dr Steven Blake. He is a former trustee, chair and now a vice-president of the Holst Birthplace Trust. He is a founder member and former chair of Cheltenham Local History Society and has a particular interest in the building history of early nineteenth century Cheltenham.
An entrance fee is payable on the door: £3 for members and £4 for non-members
