The Minnesota Electronic Health Record Consortium is a partnership between Minnesota health systems, public health agencies, and cross-sector partners. The Consortium uses electronic health record data and administrative data to provide timely information that guides the actions of policymakers, healthcare leaders, and researchers. Consortium projects have included syndromic surveillance for COVID and influenza, evaluation of chronic condition prevalence at the neighborhood level as part of community health assessments, and assessment of the impact of extreme weather events on health outcomes. Our presentation will provide background on the Consortium, details regarding our distributed data network, and examples of completed projects.

Featured Presenters: Tyler Winkelman, MD, MSc, is Director of Research and Evaluation Data Analytics Core at Hennepin Health Research Institute. Paul Drawz, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Minnesota.
