About this Event
The Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF), DRABPE, and the Town of Ajax are proud to come together to present TBFF in the Community, a community-centred film and cultural engagement experience celebrating Black creativity, storytelling, and excellence.
This special event brings residents together for curated film screenings, artistic expression, and engaging discussions that highlight Black leadership, cultural contributions, and visionary imagination. Audiences will explore how creativity, innovation, and resilience inspire cultural and social impact, while fostering connection and shared understanding across the community.
This event will include a special interactive art component designed and facilitated by Cultural Expressions for Change (CE4C), inviting attendees to engage in hands-on creativity and community expression.
Together, TBFF, DRABPE, and the Town of Ajax affirm the importance of community-driven cultural programming that uplifts Black voices, sparks meaningful dialogue, and strengthens local connections—using film as a powerful tool for representation, inspiration, and collective celebration.
