Tayko Jones brings “Garage Jazz” to The Matthews for an album release show celebrating their self-titled debut.
Led by saxophonist Joel Shotwell, guitarist Mark Romanowski, bassist and cellist Jon Bakken, and drummer Christian DeJong, the band blends the grit of 80s and 90s grunge with the freedom of fusion and traditional jazz. Expect music built on groove and tone, with plenty of room for improvisation, exploration, and surprise.
