Tavern at the Crossroads Presents - Covetry Cove
About this Event
A night of salt air, secret fortune, and grog worth the voyage — with ale
[August 29th, September 12th and September 26th] | 4 PM – 7 PM | Hayward, CA
The tide has turned at the Crossroads. This season, the tavern trades its forest hush for lantern light and sea-worn charm — a haven where sailors of questionable reputation, honest bannerfolk, and everyone in between drop anchor for a proper meal.
They say the Cove earned its name honestly — for what lies within, everyone wants. What that is, exactly, the old salts won't say. Most who ask get nothing but a knowing look and another round.
But make no mistake — Covetry Cove is still, at its heart, a tavern. The real treasure has always been the table: homebrewed ale flowing freely, a hearty meal touched by the spice and warmth of far-off island ports, and good company to share it with.
🏰 New to the Crossroads?
Tavern at the Crossroads is a recurring, host-run dinner event — a real tavern built out in Hayward, with timber walls, hewn tables, and a leafy canopy overhead. Since 2019, we've welcomed over 700 guests across more than 35 gatherings.
Every event centers on the three core things: house-brewed drinks, a hearty homemade meal, and a night of good company in a medieval setting. Each gathering carries its own theme and its own surprises, but you never need experience, or a costume to enjoy it. Show up, eat well, drink well, and let the tavern do the rest. Many first-timers become regulars — you'll see why.
🍺 What Awaits
- An immersive fantasy tavern enclosed by timber walls and leafy canopy
- A full rustic meal with island-inspired flavors — sweet heat, citrus, and spice from distant shores
- Homebrewed ales, mead, and tavern drinks — all made in-house by your hosts
- A proper Grog, for those with sea legs — 'tis a homemade ginger beer, brewed without a drop of spirits — though some may be added if warmth is what ye need
- Music, laughter, and tales tall enough to sail under
- And for the sharp-eyed… well. Keep your eyes sharp.
Costume and adornment encouraged, never required.
