Join us in The Glade at Fairhaven on Saturday 16th August from 2pm–4pm for a wonderful afternoon of live music with the ever-popular Taverham Band as part of our Summer Concert series.Based in the village of Taverham, just north-west of Norwich, the band was formed in 1974 by a small group of enthusiastic villagers determined to create a community brass band. Over the past 50 years, Taverham Band has grown into a thriving ensemble of more than 40 volunteer musicians, performing an extensive repertoire of over 800 musical pieces.
Known for their entertaining and uplifting performances, the band specialises in concert work and has delighted audiences across the UK and Europe, including performances in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and even aboard the Fred. Olsen cruise ship Balmoral. They have also performed at prestigious venues and events including Windsor Castle, Sandringham House, and the Menin Gate in Ypres.
Taverham Band is much more than a musical group, it is a close-knit community organisation with a proud history of supporting charities and local causes through concerts and fundraising events. Their friendly, family-like atmosphere shines through in every performance.
Visitors to Fairhaven can expect a lively and enjoyable summer concert featuring a mix of well-loved classics, popular tunes, traditional brass band favourites, and light entertainment music suitable for all ages.
