Taunton Flower Show is so much more than flowers – it’s a great day out for everyone!Held on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd August amongst the stunning backdrop of Vivary Park in the centre of Taunton, you don’t need to be a gardening enthusiast to appreciate the many delights the show has to offer, though if you are, there’s plenty for those with green fingers.
Horticultural enthusiasts will have plenty to discover inside the Plant Village and Floral Marquee where you can pick up advice from experts on hand, do a spot of shopping, admire the fantastic floral displays and gardens as well as find a real bargain. There’s also an abundance of stands selling the best garden accessories, gadgets and machinery, or pop along and see our magnificent Show Garden, built especially for the show; showcasing what can be achieved in a small space and built in a matter of days!
A great spot for the family to visit is the Children’s Area with an abundance of entertainment and activities to keep the little ones amused, or pop along to the Honey Show in the Floral Marquee, for a chance to find the Queen Bee, taste some honey and watch beekeeping demonstrations. The Competition Marquee is also a fantastic draw and always extremely popular with large displays of photography, baking, craftwork, home grown fruit, vegetables and floral arrangements.
As a great way of keeping the whole family entertained, the arena has something for everyone. Making a welcome return to the arena is David Seamark, showing the skill and commitment of working sheepdog whilst K&H Falconry display an amazing arrangement of birds including barn and eagle owls. The show is also delighted to welcome Extreme Bike Battle, who will be entertaining audiences on both days.
Glastonbury Brass, along with other musical acts, will be wowing audiences from the live music stage in the Artisan village, where local designers, artists, makers and food traders can come and showcase their handmade and locally sourced products. Our fantastic caterers, located around the show, will help you keep the hunger at bay with a wide range of refreshments including vegan, gluten free and vegetarian or why not bring your own picnic and sample one of our array of stalls selling sweet treats.
