We also want to hear from Tates Creek area residents about their concerns in the community in regard to gun violence and what the city should do to address it moving forward. What is working? What isn't working? Your feedback will be part of our process to update ONE Lexington's strategic plan to address youth and young adult gun violence. Since 2022, Lexington has seen a 60 percent degree in gun violence (2022: 44 homicides, 135 shootings compared to 2024: 17 homicides & 60 shootings) and we want to continue that progress.
