On the second Friday of each month, Franklin Fridays curates an experience that highlights a neighborhood-wide celebration of art, performances, and community. During this time, our event will feature a culinary extravaganza where attendees can purchase samples of an array of authentic African dishes, ranging from savory stews to exotic spices and traditional desserts. Local chefs and culinary experts bring their expertise to create an enticing menu at 218 McDowell St. Indulge in a variety of dishes that will tantalize your taste buds and transport you to the vibrant streets of Africa.
Guests can also groove to the rhythms of Afrobeat, highlife, makossa, and other genres while experiencing the vibrant energy of African culture.
Beyond the food and entertainment, the event provides opportunities for cultural exchange and learning.
