An authoritative update on the latest climate science to help you understand what lies ahead and how schools can respond.
About this Event

Climate change is no longer a distant concern—it is one of the most urgent challenges of our time, with profound implications for the futures of our students. This exclusive breakfast briefing will provide heads of school with an authoritative update on the latest climate science, helping you understand what lies ahead and how schools can respond.

As members of The Alliance for Sustainable Schools (TASS), your schools have pledged, through the Sustainable Schools Charter, to embed sustainability principles in education and operations. This event is designed to connect that commitment with the latest global scientific insights, offering both context and urgency to guide leadership decisions.

Our Keynote Speaker:

Professor Benjamin Horton is Dean of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. Prior to becoming Dean at SEE, he was the Director of the Earth Observatory of Singapore and a Professor in Earth Science at the Asian School of the Environment in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

He is internationally recognized for his pioneering research on sea-level change, which has transformed scientific understanding of how climate change impacts coastal systems, carbon storage, and ecosystem resilience. Professor Horton has also made significant contributions to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
