Crowne Plaza Hobart | Hobart, TS
The Tasmanian Menopause Summit is the first event of its kind in Tasmania. This is the second year of the Summit. It is a half-day gathering designed to raise awareness, break the silence, and normalise the conversation around perimenopause and menopause. Through keynote presentations, expert panels, networking, and an exhibitor showcase, the summit will shine a light on the physical, emotional, and social changes of perimenopause and menopause. It is a movement to empower women, amplify voices, and transform the way our community and workplaces view this life stage.
Ticketing
To ensure the summit remains accessible while also covering essential event costs (venue hire, technology, catering, and livestream services), we are proposing the following tiered ticket pricing structure:
Early Bird Ticket – $39
A discounted rate to encourage early registrations and assist with upfront event planning. This price will be available for a limited time only and rewards those who secure their place early.
General Admission – $49
Our standard ticket price for in-person attendance at the 4-hour summit. This fee contributes toward venue costs, grazing platters, event resources, and speaker expenses while still aiming to remain affordable for the community.
Group Booking – $441 (Buy 9, Get 1 Free)
To encourage group participation and shared learning, we are offering a table/group rate. When 10 tickets are booked together, the cost is equivalent to paying for 9 tickets — effectively one free spot.
This is ideal for workplaces, friendship groups, health services, or community organisations wishing to attend together.
Livestream Access – $15
To ensure accessibility for women and supporters across Tasmania (and beyond), we will offer a full livestream option.
Online attendees will receive access to the entire 4-hour summit in real time, allowing those in rural/remote areas, with mobility barriers, or time constraints to still benefit from the event.
Community Support / Donation Option
In alignment with the summit’s values of inclusion and equity, we will also include an optional donation section at checkout.
This will allow attendees, sponsors, and community members to contribute financially toward supporting tickets for those who may not otherwise be able to afford to attend.
Funds raised through donations could be used to:
* Provide sponsored tickets for low-income women
* Support regional/rural participants
* Enable carers or support people to attend
* Increase overall accessibility and inclusion
This “Pay It Forward” approach reflects the community spirit of the summit and ensures cost is not a barrier to accessing vital menopause education and support.
Program
Enjoy panel member discussions, connection moments, networking, exhibitors, questions from the floor and a time to be vulnerable and open.
Raffle Prizes
There will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets at the event to win a variety of prizes - and win lucky door prizes.
Who is behind the Summit?
The Summit is the brainchild of Dr Zelinda Sherlock. She is the CEO of Sherlock & Dutta Consulting, the Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Hobart and a respected advocate for meaningful change. Experiencing perimenopause herself, Zelinda recognised the urgent need to bring menopause out of the shadows and into the public spotlight. Her vision was to create a landmark empowering event where women could connect, learn and be heard.
To bring this vision to life, she partnered with Husna Pasha, a nationally recognised keynote speaker, occupational therapist, and founder of The Happychondriac Society. Husna’s reputation for breaking stigma with warmth, humour, and authenticity made her the perfect partner to co-create a space where difficult conversations become empowering and inclusive.
Together, Zelinda and Husna are shaping not just an event, but a movement, one that will redefine how Tasmania approaches menopause.
In 2026, the Summit also welcomes two new members to the Organising Committee, Mel Knuckey and Gwen Henebery. Two strong and compassionate women striving to enhance a Summit that delivers care, accessibility and connection.
Why this event matters
Peri menopause and menopause impacts not just health, but also women’s participation in the workforce, financial security, and well-being. Yet, it remains largely under-discussed. The Summit is about sparking open dialogue, providing evidence-based insights, and building a supportive community. It’s an opportunity for Tasmania to lead the way in addressing an issue that affects every woman, directly or indirectly. Our Spotlight Speaker, Dr Bhalerao is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, who will also be taking questions from the floor.
