Tartan Day Parade Tunes! All pipers and drummers are invited to join the "Jock Nisbet Memorial Pipe Band/Tunes of Glory" Massed Band marching up NYC's 6th Ave for the Tartan Day Parade on Saturday, April 11th.
As always, we will be playing 2, 2 tune sets.
Set #1: Scotland the Brave and Rowan Tree
Set #2: Bonnie Prince Charlie and Blue Bells
This year we are introducing a new Tune-Up-Tune straight from our new music book, "Nursery Rhymes, Folk Tunes, and Common Melodies for the Great Highland Bagpipes - Volume 1" The tune is "Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here." It is a celebration of togetherness, which is the reason we all come together every year for Tartan Day.
All are free to join, regardless of skill. There are only 2 rules:
#1 - No Drama. None!!! (strictly enforced)
#2 - Everyone has fun (happens organically)
More details to come as we get closer to Tartan Week.
Please learn all 5 tunes and share with all pipers and drummers you know.
