Tarot Workshop: A Journey to Self Discovery
About this Event
Tarot: A Journey to Self Discovery
Tarot is so much more than a method for predicting the future. Rich in symbolism, archetype and story, Tarot can be a tool for personal transformation and healing. It offers us a mirror through which to explore ourselves, strengthen our intuition and discover new perspectives on the relationships and experiences that shape our lives.
Tarot: A Journey to Self Discovery is an interactive 2½-hour workshop offering a welcoming and inclusive space to explore Tarot together. Whether you’re completely new to the cards or already have some experience of Tarot, this workshop is designed to meet you wherever you are on your journey.
What You’ll Explore
During our time together, we’ll explore:
- The history of Tarot — where the cards came from, how they developed and some of the myths surrounding their origins.
- The structure of the Tarot deck — understanding the Major Arcana, Minor Arcana and Court Cards and how they work together.
- The Fool’s Journey — exploring the Major Arcana as an archetypal journey through life’s experiences, challenges and transformations.
- Symbolism and archetypes — learning to look beyond memorised card meanings and discover the visual language within the cards.
- Developing your intuition — becoming more confident in your own observations, associations and intuitive responses.
- Guided reflection and meditation — experiencing the cards personally and exploring the insights they can reveal.
- Practical Tarot reading — putting what you’ve discovered into practice through supported exercises and reading with others
Rather than trying to memorise 78 separate card definitions, you’ll be encouraged to become curious about what you see, what you notice and what the cards evoke for you. We’ll explore how traditional meanings, symbolism and intuition can work together to help you develop your own relationship with Tarot.
Most importantly, this is an interactive workshop. You’ll have opportunities to handle your cards, ask questions, share observations and practise what you’re learning in a supportive environment.
Who Is This Workshop For?
Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of experience.
You might be opening a Tarot deck for the first time, returning to the cards after some time away, or looking for a different way to deepen an existing practice.
You don’t need to be psychic, know the meanings of the cards or have any previous Tarot experience. Curiosity and a willingness to explore are enough.
Participant Takeaways
- A clear understanding of Tarot’s structure and symbolic depth
- Confidence in working with the Major Arcana as a developmental map
- Greater connection to your own intuition and archetypal wisdom
- A meaningful, grounded introduction to intuitive Tarot practice
- A helpful PDF resource covering the workshop material for continued exploration at home
