OVERVIEW

12:00-6:00 PM | ESOTERIC MARKETPLACE by Witchy Ways Market (free to the public, no ticket needed)

12:00-6:00 PM | TAROT, ASTROLOGY, AURA READINGS and HEALING ENERGY WORK (open to the public; individually priced services)

PRESENTATIONS (ACCESS INCLUDED WITH SATURDAY DAY PASS):

1:30-2:15 PM | SANYU ESTELLE: A Deck of Many Dimensions: Unearthing the Tarot's Multicultural Foundations

An exploration into the rich migratory history of the cards that uncovers the complex interplay of cultures, traditions, religions, spiritualities, and the social upheaval that shaped the tarot as we know it today. In this presentation, the Tarot deck will also be broken down (from a material perspective, not a symbolic perspective) by which regions of the world contributed which aspects of the Tarot as we know it today.

2:30-3:15 PM | BEL SENLLE: Plant Ecosystems & Arcane Dynamics: Understanding Flower Essence Energies in the Tarot

How do we make meaning from something as alive as flowers? Can we read the energy of a plant in the same way we read the cards? How might they speak back to us?

Visual language, mythology, archetypes, psychic work, and ritual inform our understanding of a pack of cards as a technology for imagination and interpretation. These same tools can be used to understand and communicate with our local garden.

Guiding us through interconnected symbolic systems and practices, Bel traces the analogies at play in Tarot and herbalism, revealing how to read patterns, elements, and dynamics in plant ecosystems much as we do in the cards.

5:15-6:00 PM | CASEY ZABALA: Journey to the Underworld: Resourcing Ourselves at the World’s End with the Wisdom of the High Priestess and Justice

As we find ourselves navigating the end of one world, and the birth of another, we turn to the chthonic landscape and underworld spirits of the Tarot for guidance and resilience. The guardians of the underworld of the Tarot include the High Priestess and Justice, allusions to goddesses that in some traditions, steward souls across the threshold of this world into another.

This talk will unpack the otherworldly symbolism of these Tarot archetypes, explore cultural context for underworld exploration, and invite us into a participatory relationship with the psychic wisdom of the High Priestess & Justice.

Part lecture, part guided meditation, together we will enter into a new relationship with the underworld, at a moment when its profound wisdom may help us transform. By tapping into this underworld landscape, may we gain insight and inspiration into how to lead a more aligned life.

6:15-7:00 PM | LORRIANE ANDERSON: Navigation & Habitation: Understanding Tarot through Cyclical Empathy with Nature

Bestselling author Lorriane Anderson unpacks the relationship between the greater and lesser sabbats that comprise her popular Seasons of the Witch oracle series and the creation of her Seasons of the Witch Tarot series. Learn about Anderson's path from ideation to manifestation as she discusses lore and mythology in the evocative story of Seasons of the Witch: Winter Tarot. Through wintry themes of rest and contemplation, Anderson explores how the harmonic relationship between Yule, Imbolc and the earth's barest season seamlessly blend to unlock deep, divinatory wisdom, while embracing a new way for the tarot to move its energy throughout the year.

By allowing empathic portals to open onto seasonally shifting landscapes, Anderson shows how we can glean greater insight to the rhythms and cycles of nature as a reflection of the power and meaning in the Tarot. She also reveals the next deck in the series to be published, and talks about the current stage of her work with Seasons of the Witch and other projects.

PERFORMANCE (ACCESS INCLUDED WITH SATURDAY DAY PASS):

7:30-8:15 PM | THE WYZBOTS: The Reader, A Tarot Shadow Play

The Reader is a shadow play tracing a Tarot reader’s day of client encounters. As each reading unfolds, interpretations take form—cards flicker to life and transform in unexpected ways through the magic of shadow puppetry.

Ecosystems may be natural or constructed, terrestrial or cosmic, physical or symbolic. Terrain, architecture, weather, oceans, galaxies, communities, and cultural systems are all lenses through which to approach the cards.

PRESENTERS

Event Photos

(The Cultural Roots of Tarot) is a Claircognizant (clear knowing) Soothsayer (truth teller) that is also known as "The Word Witch" because of her deep love for word origins (etymology) and word culture (philology).

Sanyu is a pigmented womoonist (as constant as the tides; word to Alice Walker), cissy (femme and fem), flexible asexual (it's a spectrum, seems unwise to call it), travel-apt (Earth is a country) and fashion forward (Funk Flag Flyage) SSJW (Sarcastic Social Justice Warrior). She is known for her straightforward card reading style ("the reading you need, not necessarily the reading you want") and her way with words via writing, speaking, and singing.

A US-American of Ugandan and Belizean descent, Sanyu was born, bred, and buttered in Los Angeles on land traditionally stewarded by the Tongva. Sanyu is herself Black Seminole, Moskito, Maya (and possibly Huron + Chiricahua). Sanyu's African origins also include Angolan, Cameroonian and Nigerian descent with ancestry from literally all 4 "corners" of the Motherland. She also has Celtic and Slavic ancestors.

Sanyu is your forebears’ attainable unreality. Yet she is the intended of her Ancestors. Many dream up the future, but it belongs to their descendants. Thus, she is the best thing that came out of her Colonizer’s lineage. She uses their/her own ancestry to denounce their indoctrination into the invention of Whiteness through colonization. They are lucky to have her and they ensured not only that she is, but what she is.

is a Birth Doula, Oracle and Curandera of Mayan, Pipil, Nahual and Garifuna descent. Born in Los Angeles, CA to Salvadoran immigrants and raised in Mexico. Their practice is rooted in their ancestral heritage and indigenous traditions of the Anahuac.

Madre has always walked between the worlds. Ever since they can remember, Madre Jaguar has experienced visions, prophetic dreams, visitations and a strong clear connection to their Spirit team.

Nature was their first teacher. Most of their childhood was spent observing and studying the cycles and seasons of Earth, connecting and experimenting with the energy of the elements, animals, herbs, plants, flowers, rocks, crystals and beings seen and unseen. As a child, their maternal grandmother taught Madre Jaguar ways to communicate with the plant kingdom; to sing to them and to listen to their songs. Their Abuela also taught them ways in which these plant allies could be used to treat all kinds of ailments from a tummy ache to a broken heart.

As an adult, a passion for helping others and a strong desire to help propel positive change in the world, led Madre Jaguar on a path of self-discovery and exploration of different healing modalities including Curanderismo, Reiki and Energy Healing, Shamanic Practices, Folk Magic, Herbalism and Tarot. They have studied and continue to learn from indigenous healers and teachers in Mexico, Central and South America.

Madre Jaguar believes that Love is our super power. As human beings we are here to bless and be blessed by all of creation. Harmony and Joy are our birthright. Through their healing practice, readings, classes and projects Madre Jaguar’s goal is to help you connect with the inner power, wisdom and magic that lies within; all while helping you remember your Divine origin and unique soul purpose.

(The Healing Queen) is the founder of Healing Queen and Healing Queen School of Sacred Alchemy. She weaves Curanderismo, Reiki and earth-based practices into conscious spiritual support rooted in nervous system literacy.

Prado supports practitioners and clients in working within the relational field, where the body listens, the heart perceives, and healing unfolds through presence in a way that allows something truer to emerge. Through ancestral knowing, ritual intelligence and ethical spiritual care, you re-connect the energetic threads of who you are and step into your becoming.

Through Love Limpias, group experiences and practitioner trainings, Prado supports personal transformation and professional development so your joy deepens, your intuition clarifies, and your sovereignty becomes lived rather than conceptual.
